The Unsuccessful Book Ban

I decided to go on a book ban….

Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them – Newt Scamander
(J.K. Rowling)

Buying this edition was a must! Especially since the handbook is now updated with 6 new amazing, fantastic beasts. And while I was there, I also picked up The Tales Of Beedle The Bard and Quidditch Through The Ages (Kennilworthy Whisp)! I went for the hardback editions with the dust jackets – THEY ALL MATCH WHEN THEY’RE NAKED!

Give them a home:

Add them to your TBR bookshelf:

Alex Approximately by Jenn Bennett
~Simon & Schuster~

“Bailey Rydell has found the boy of her dreams. ‘Alex’ is smart and sweet and loves the

same movies as her. The only problem? ……They haven’t actually met….”

What isn’t there too love about a cheesy little romance? And after all the amazing reviews I’ve seen, I just couldn’t pass it up.

Buy it!
Mark it as TBR!

Defy The Stars by Claudia Gray
~Hot Key Books~

Romance, science fiction action and CLAUDIA GRAY’S EPIC WRITING?! What more is there to life????

Add it to you collection here!

Draekora by Lynette Noni

The compelling finally to the Medoran Chronicles! I still haven’t read Akarnae or Raelia…….but at least now I can marathon them

Hunter by Meagan Spooner
~Harper Teen~

I don’t really know much about this book – I saw it as a recommendation from Amie Kaufman’s twitter. It looks like a beauty and the beast retelling which is amazzzzzzzing.

Meagan Spooner co-wrote The Starbound Trilogy! Incase you’re wondering why the name sounder familiar – I got your back!

See You In The Cosmos by Jack Cheng

All eleven year old Alex wants is to launch his iPod into space. With a series of audio recordings, he will show other life forms out in the cosmos what life on Earth, his Earth, is really like. But for a boy with a long-dead dad, a troubled mother and a mostly-not-around brother, Alex struggles with the big questions…

WHERE DO I COME FROM? Who’s out there!?

And above all…How can I be brave?

These are simply a few gorgeous books I purchased recently!

I was also lucky enough to receive Strange The Dreamer by Laini Taylor from the team over at Hachette! I can’t thank you enough! Taylor’s new book follows a fellow book lover and librarian on his adventures to the mystical town of WEEP, and whatever awaits him there. It’s also our book of the month over at THE YA ROOM! See more information about it here!

Until next haul~
