Popular Series I’ve NEVER read

Welcome back to another episode of ALEX TRIES BLOGGING brought to you live by AZombieBooktuber *Insert cool joke to break the ice*

tumblr_li9zsskofj1qz6g3w

I’ve complied a list of series I haven’t read…yet  *sly wink*  SO HERE WE GO

Red Queen – Victoria Aveyard

I’ve read three pages of this book and couldn’t. MAYBE ONE DAY.

Starbound Trilogy – Amie Kaufman & Meagan Spooner

There’s something about changing characters each book that doesn’t sit well with me. I don’t want to be invested in a series and suddenly never see the a fave ever AGAIN

A Darker Shade Of Magic – V. E. Schwab

I’ve heard so many amazing things about this series, and actually own the WHOLE TRILOGY. Which means I’ll get to them . . . one day.

The Raven Cycle – Maggie Stiefvater

I’ve heard so many groovy things about this novel, including spoilers. I didn’t LOVE her Shiver trilogy (but that might be because I’m salty about the ending) – but I am hoping to pick this one up sometime soon!

Rebel Of The Sands – Alwyn Hamilton

Retelling?? Arabian?? I honestly don’t know much about this BUT a pal of mine loves it so I FIGURE I SHOULD BE A GOOD FRIEND AND READ IT UGGG

Heroes Of Olympus, Trials Of Apollo and Magnus Chase – Rick Riordan

This guy isn’t even human. Can you please stop writing so I can actually successfully catch up K THKS. I’ve nearly finished Percy Jackson, but man this guy just keeps pumping them out like it’s EASY

The 5th Wave – Rick Yancey

Aliens, shirtless men and a world coming to an end? Who wouldn’t want to read that? ME APPARENTLY.

The Selection – Kiera Cass

Did you watch the Bachelorette? That show is only good because of how cringe it is. DO I WANT TO CRINGE FOR 5000000 BOOKS?????? Maybe

Britney-Spears-Cringe-Face

Wrath And The Dawn – Renée Andieh

I’ve tried reading this on ePub so many times, but I feel like it’s definitely one of those books you need to have and hold and hug.

 Death Note – Tsunami Ohba

Technically not a book BUT Manga still counts. I’ll read it one day, if my brother doesn’t spoil the entire contents of the book for me *face palms into eternity*

The Maze Runner – James Dashner

I’ve heard the book and movie are really different from each other and I don’t know if I can put my brain through that.

Mistborn Trilogy that isn’t really a trilogy anymore – Brandon Sanderson

Epic fantasy and tired brains don’t really go well together. Although I have been interested in this series for a very long time, and actually own quite a few books by him.

The Infernal Devices – Cassandra Clare

Can I put myself through such PAIN? JACE FOR LIFE xoxo

And lastly A Song Of Ice And Fire – George R.R Martin

I’ve made the smallest of all dents in this series. I love the show but the book is so BOOK. It’s very dense and I have to remember every single damn thing and I just

giphy

Of course there is always room for more on this ever-growing list, so let me know if there are any series that I have to read! What’s your favourite series?

Lot of love, as always

  1. Your sass is my FAVE! Also yes I must also read ADSOM & AGOS, because apparently I own them too. Don’t get me started on Mistborn; how can he be my fave author WHEN I HAVENT READ THIS TRILOGY?! (Or his Wax and Wayne trilogy after it, GAH.)

Riordan is also a book god (no pun intended…) and he needs to chill so I can catch up. CANT WAIT FOR YOU TO READ HIS BOOKS THOUGH! Seriously love them.

    GOOD LUCK ON THINGS. ❤

The 5th wave is great but I have no plans on reading the next ones coz I’ve heard there crap and I don’t want to ruin it, have you seen the movie adaptation? It’s a lot different(In all the good ways 😊)

I don’t think I’ll ever watch the movie, the coolest parts are always in the ads – it’s so not right.

  3. Tell me about it. I haven’t read many of these books/series as well ‘^^
Starbound trilogy, A darker shade of magic, The Raven Cycle, Rebel of the Sands, The Selection, Death Note (technically not a book but haven’t read nor watched it nor anything either ‘^^) and A Song of Ice and Fire.
Red Queen: didn’t particularly like it. Even though most people seemed too, I just… not for me.
Heroes Of Olympus, Trials Of Apollo and Magnus Chase: OMG NOOO, please never say he should stop writing EVER. I love his books soooo much. He can never stop or I’ll freak out! I know it’s a lot but they’re actually SO easy to read. And SO easy to fly through. I’m telling you. You won’t even realize you read the entire series before you finish it. Seriously. Just pick up Percy Jackson and the Lightning Theif and let Rick’s magic work 😉
The 5th Wave: loved it! Absolutely so. It’s a bit hard to get into since the style is very unique but… it’s truly amazing. The third and final book, however… I’m still in trauma.
Wrath and the Dawn: Ohhh, another fantastic one. It’s hard to say whether you’ll love it or not but… I absolutely recommend giving it the best shot you’ve got.
The Infernal Devices: ‘Can I put myself through such PAIN?’ Wow, you literally just captured the entire trilogy right there! THE PAIN. It’s… so good. So amazing. And SO VERY PAINFUL. I cried my eyes out in the final book. And yet… I would never – I could never – regret reading this. NEVER. Because it was truly… truly beautiful. And worth it. So worth it.

  4. I must also read ADSOM. You definitely should finish A Song of Ice and Fire. I wish I took notes when I read it – because I don’t remember what happened now. SO MUCH happens. But it was glorious. I really didn’t like The Fifth Wave film – so I kinda gave the book a flick.
